The latest applicable slab wise rates per MMBTU and rates per SCM along with estimated bill amounts on different slabs are provided on the bill. The customer benefits from the preceding slab only as per OGRA’s notified tariff.

Customers are billed on minimum charges if the consumption during any billing month is less than a specified volume, as notified by OGRA.

Pressure Correction Factors are used to convert the gas volumes as measured by basic meters to the standard volume.

Gross Calorific Value (GCV) is the amount of heat released by the complete combustion of a unit of natural gas. The GCV taken to calculate the customer bill is mentioned on the respective gas bill.

BTU (British Thermal Unit) is the amount of heat required to raise the temperature of one pound of liquid water by one degree Fahrenheit. MMBTU (Metric Million British Thermal Unit) represents 1 million BTUs. The recorded volume is measured in cubic feet or cubic meters and converted to BTUs based on gas quality, shown as GCV in the bill.

The gas meter installed at the customer premises is the property of SSGC, and a Monthly Meter Rent is charged. The amount varies for different customer categories based on OGRA-approved notification for Fixed and Variable Charges

LPS mean Late Payment Surcharge (LPS) is levied on defaulters. The rate varies for domestic and industrial/commercial customers as per OGRA-approved notification for Fixed and Variable Charges.

Gas Supply Deposit (GSD) is maintained by the company against each customer. It’s equivalent to three months’ average consumption bill and is updated annually.

Passing Un-registered Gas (PUG) occurs when the meter fails to register the volume of natural gas supplied regularly. The meter is replaced, and an estimated bill based on the new meter consumption is charged for the period the meter was PUG.

Slow Meter Charges occur when meters become slow due to wear and tear. SSGC replaces such meters, and any determined slowness in meters is billed to the customer.

The customer is responsible for the repair and maintenance of internal piping/house lines and gas installations after the meter. Internal leakages causing excessive billing due to lost gas are the responsibility of the customer.

All bills pertaining to gas consumption and other charges are payable by the customers within the “Due Date” shown on the bills.

Payments can be made at scheduled Bank Branches/Post Offices, commercial bank facilities like ATMs, online banking, debit/credit cards, and mobile apps like Easy Paisa, Jazz Cash, UPaisa. SSGC Mobile App is also under development.

Authorized gas usage as per the Company Gas Sale Agreement includes one meter for one kitchen and one geyser utilization for purely domestic purposes.
